Optical Fiber to CAN converter GCAN-208

The GCAN-208 optical fiber to CAN converter can convert CAN bus signals to optical signal. The conversion time between CAN data and optical signals is microsecond, ensuring the real-time communication. The GCAN-208 supports any CAN bus communication protocol such as CANopen, SAE J1939, DeviceNet, NMEA2000, etc.
It can be used for extending CAN bus communication distance, eliminating long-distance communication interference, and preventing the bus from being damaged.

Functions

1. Point-to-point connection: Using a pair of GCAN-206 optical fiber to CAN converter to realize CAN bus data long-distance transmission.  As shown in the figure below:

2. Hand in hand connection (cascade): Using two-channel optical fiber to CAN module can connect the CAN bus network in many places together, and transmit CAN data to each node on the network through the optical fiber. It is often used in the networking scheme of fire host, as shown in the figure below:
